What an amazing opportunity to learn!  Quite beautiful at night too.  Hope that many take part and expand their knowledge through this opportunity ...

Mitchel - That looks like something I haven't come close to experiencing!  New York City dwellers must be very excited about this!  I didn't realize that Central Park had a facility like that!

Hi Gene, Thanks. The Museum of Natural History and Hayden planetarium has always been my favorite museum ever since I saw the dinosaurs there as a kid.

Hi Alexandra, The Rose Center for earth and space is really spectacular. It is amazing to see just walking by on 81st Street.

Hi Myrl, The museum is located across the street from Central Park. The Rose Center for Earth and Space is new but the museum's first wing was built in 1874. It actually has it's own park on the museum's grounds called Manhattan Square. It takes up 5 square blocks. Another famous museum The Metropolitan Museum of art located on fifth Avenue is actually located inside Central Park.

Mitchell, what a great museum. I love to visit them when I come to New York, and it must be fun to live a quick walk away!

Pat, I know, you took those great shots of the gargoyles on the museum. I may walk past tonight after dinner and see the laser lights.
